About Elastic OSC

Elastic OSC is a synthesizer application based on the DSP code of the Mutable Instruments Plaits hardware oscillator module, 1 of the most beloved (and cloned) oscillator modules in the Eurorack modular scene! Like the original, Elastic OSC comes with a wide dozens of possible sounds, from analog-style, FM, and additive sounds to physical modeling, percussive, and even drum sounds.

Elastic OSC can be used in both monophonic and 8-voice polyphonic modes. You can play the application using the (on-screen) keyboard or an external keyboard or sequencer inside your DAW of choice.

The application focuses on ease of use, featuring 2 XY pads for intuitive sound manipulation of the OSC engine and the effects. Despite the simplicity of the cleaned-up interface, the sound possibilities are vast – thanks to 24 various oscillator models and the ability to automate parameter changes, as it is possible in all Elastic apps released so far.

A versatile Arpeggiator makes it simple to start with easy ideas or can already make whole sonic worlds.

Elastic OSC contains an integrated support system (tap “?”) to provide explanations for nearly each GUI element, the underlying DSP model, and most of the app’s functionality.

LFO MIX
The MIX view enables you to blend multiple LFOs and define how strongly every active LFO influences a target parameter.
The closer a target is placed to an LFO corner, the stronger its influence.
All active LFOs always sum up to 100% (e.g. LFO1 50%, LFO2 30%, LFO3 20%).

MPE SUPORT (In-App Purchase)

Unlock expressive control and shape sounds with polyphonic aftertouch and per-note gestures.
Map Glide (X), Slide (Y) and Pressure (Z) to synthesis parameters and control them with external MPE controllers or the built-in keyboard (X and Y).

MPE help is available as In-App Purchase. After purchasing, you can make your own MPE setups and shop them within presets.

A Lock button lets you hold your current MPE setup while loading other presets — so you can discover sounds without losing your preferred MPE mapping.
You can already play and try the included MPE presets that come with this update (by artist Red Sky Lullaby and others).
